WEST COUNTRY Bicycle tour - July 1998

This was a tour of the English West Country in the summer of 1998. I bought a return train ticket from Cheshire to Taunton in Somerset. I bike on the northern parts of the West Country peninsular via Barnstaple, Newquay and St Ives. At objective was a first visit to Lands End. After Lands End I took a train from Penzantes to Dorchester in order to visit the Lawrence Sites.
AW in Bude.

Looking down on St Ives.
AW at Lands End for the first time.
Thomas Hardy memorial, near to his cottage in Dorset.
The grave of T E Lawrence (before the brick pathway was layed down)
Clouds Hill. When I visited in year 2010 the admission was £4.50, having risen from £2.30 in 1998. A mark of inflation indeed.

Coluds Hill cottage.
Door to Clouds Hill with famous lintol, inscribed by Lawrence himself.
